accommodation on Haida Gwaii/Queen Charlotte Islands - cabins on North Beach within Naikoon Park, BC, Canada

We offer four cabins on the Queen Charlotte Is/Haida Gwaii. We are Located on the oceanside of North Beach within Naikoon Park. All four are self-contained, off-grid, and offer easy acces to a phenomenal beach. Our first beach cabin/cottage is called the Sweetypie for obvious reasons. Our second cabin is named the Queenpin for its queen bed and because there is always too much talk of Kingpins. Our third, and largest cabin, Ravenshoe was completed June 2011 and offers stupendous ocean views. The fourth, the Frogmore, is the newest of our four getaways. The Ravenshoe and the Sweetypie are on the beach and have unimpeded views up and down. The Queenpin is a short walk to the beach and the Frogmore has ocean view from the porch..

Our completely self-contained off-grid cabin/cottages sit on the sand dunes of North Beach off Tow Hill Rd., about 9km before Tow Hill and 16 km past Masset. Just bring yourself, ice for the supplied cooler and something for the BBQ. Check-in at the office, it's the house on the hill.

At low tide there are razor clams to dig by the bucketful all summer, and plenty of crabs to net. The beach is sand, and perfectly safe for kids as there are no currents or riptides. Bring your wet suits and gear or check out the local surf shop www.northbeachsurfshop.com. Because we are in the Pacific flyway for migrating birds, there are many species of shore and sea birds. The Island bird count is around 175 types, including the Sea Eagle. There are deer everywhere. Bears inhabit the island but not the beaches. Beach fires can be made at the tide line from driftwood. Wonderful sunsets and long twilight is the rule as the sun drops into the ocean.

Our peak season is June to September – book early. Contact us for off-season rates and availability.
