The Sweetypie

The Sweetypie sits on the best vantage point on North Beach looking at Tow Hill to the right, waves directly ahead, and an uninterrupted beach line to the left— it's sweet. On a clear day you'll see Alaska. It’s made entirely of beach-combed red cedar, yellow cedar, fir, and spruce. No trees died to make any of our cabins. It’s pretty on the outside with cedar shingles and has 2 cedar decks with carved seahorses. It is truly gorgeous on the inside with exposed beams, 16” cedar boards for the ceiling, and a granite countertop. The kitchen has propane burners for cooking, and is furnished with all the pots, pans, dishes, cutlery needed for a gourmet meal. There's a full-size BBQ on the deck that doubles as an oven.

The cabin has an upstairs bedroom, and a foldout couch on the mainfloor. It sleeps four comfortably. We supply all the quality linens and towels you could want. A propane light, battery lanterns and solar lamps, complete to make it a comfortable and romantic off-grid stay on the beach. The Sweetypie heats with a wood stove, and has an attached woodshed with firewood and a splitting maul. Behind the cabin in the sun is an outdoor shower with a solar waterbag, or the water can be heated on the stove. There's a camp cooler for refrigeration and running cold water in the kitchen. The Sweetypie cabin has a crab pot for the residents. Put it out with a can of cat food tuna or bacon fat or some reasonably fatty facsimile as bait, and wait to see what the sea provides. The outhouse is called the Sweetypoo as it is the sweetest outhouse anywhere, guaranteed. sweetypie
